  • Use good shoes that are well damped and you have used on the trip before. Take with food, drink, warm and windproof dress no matter the season and temperature in the parking lot. Stay in the new great cottage if you have the time. Sunset and Sunrise is an experience. Have fun and enjoy all the great prospects:-)

  • Hiking in 8 h 30 round-trip initially parking 1 km from Loen (50 NOK to slip in an envelope). This walk begins on a trail where a farm is located and then climbs severely in a forest. After a good hour's walk out of the forest to see the fjord in the distance and the first waterfalls. The path continues up severely. You climb on a staircase formed by rocks (of the big rocks!). During this ascent, we pass a lake. From there on, the wind starts blowing and the temperature drops. The last 2 kms are almost climbing the big stones. The path is quite complicated to find, fortunately we were not all alone. The show upstairs is expectations, pity that the fog is quickly installed. There is up there jobs at this time. The descent was the hardest. The knees and thighs have taken a serious hit (this is what we told everyone we met). Good fatigue and good body aches. But a magical ride. Proud of doing it!

  • Notified us on a passionate recreational individual class and arrived at Loen Friday night. The weather was bad and the Bowl Up was notified would have the finish by Jackson Lake. We started just before at 9 and was up at the finish when the elite came. Great trail and very great stairs. Stone House on the Jackson tower was the goal and we went all the way up in the wind, rain and sleet. No view on top so we have to go back a second time
