Sola Strand, Stavanger
Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
The 2.3 km (1.4 mi) of coastline at Sola Strand offers an abundance of recreation and relaxation opportunities. With its expansive white sand, hiking trails through the dunes, and consistent breeze, it attracts travelers from all over, especially those interested in wind and water sports. During the summer months, you can rent surfboards and take surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing lessons. Explore the traces of World War II bunkers, along with an indentation that once held a Viking boathouse. If you get hungry, visit a kiosk that sells burgers and hot dogs, or a nearby hotel for something more substantial. Onsite facilities include restrooms and dressing rooms, a parking area, and a golf course on the southern end. By using our Stavanger vacation generator, you can arrange your visit to Sola Strand and other attractions in Stavanger.

This is one of my favorite beaches in the area due to it's soft sand and dunes. Makes for great photos on a sunny day or rainy day.
