Lysefjord, Stavanger

(4.8/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
One of the region's most popular inlets, Lysefjord boasts imposing cliffs, forested slopes, and a host of rock formations. A boat tour gives a good look at the marine ecosystem that characterizes the area, and you may even get a glimpse of the old village of Florli. Traverse the rugged terrain up to the "pulpit rock"--a cliff over the sea that affords a clear view of the winding waterway. Hike your way up the nearby Kjerag Mountain for a sweeping view over the surrounding peaks and the fjord itself. Top off the journey to the mountain plateau by stepping on top of the Kjeragbolten, a boulder wedged within a crevasse suspended 984 m (3,228 ft) above the fjord. Make Lysefjord a centerpiece of your Stavanger vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Stavanger tourist route planner.

  • might be a little forutbetatt of the fjord when I have raised many gangerog become as enthralled every time. If it's sunny rain or wind, it is an experience. entrance to the fjord between Oanes and Forsand is only 15meter deep. Outside the Bratteli is the 457 meters deep. A bit of a contrast? It is the pulpit rock that is the large, but see alla the great small places inland. Especially with the incredible Forsand wooden staircase with 4444 strips to tops. Otherwise looks you up against the Kjerag and if you're lucky, you can see the parachute jumpers. After landing in the run up, you can Replace the 27 hairpin wings. An experience in itself. One can then go through and take to the Sirdal Byrkjedalstunet Hunnedalen an experience, must be seen.

  • Here a must think of that one is located in a pretty rough terrain and must follow through on weather forecast and dress/shoes for it.

  • beautiful walk for those who want to spend a nice day outdoors. I have been to this place twice and the second I brought with me my little dog who enjoyed a lot, the only flaw is that when there is a agreat beautiful day and cruise ship is present there are too many people and not enjoying the full panorama.
