  • These long white sand beaches surprised us. Very nice and beautiful. It has high dunes, very well preserved and quite wild tdo, which gives the charm. parking is where to leave your car, and is free of charge. We bathed, enough fresh water... is elmar North! The Norwegians parovechas any occasion for a swim. A typical activity is barbecues on the beach. Sell a portable in the supermarket and in stations, for some 18kr (2 euros to change). They are fantastic and a whacked.

  • A wonderful place to visit. Especially during sunset. It gave me almost the same feeling as driving through Val DÓrcia in Italy. Farms, cows and sheep everywhere. Driving the North Sea Road from Flekk...  more »
  • A coastline that should be experienced in any kind of weather. From autumn storms to blikkstille, from the wonderful sandy beaches to the small and large rullestensstrender, from daylight with "high" sky on a clear day to the dramatic sky on a stormy day. You must not miss out on the wonderful sunsets that you may experience when the sun goes down in the sea, whether you're on a sandy beach or on a rullestensstrand. The opportunities are many for great tours along the coast all the way from Egersund to Stavanger in the South to the North. Be forgotten must also not High-Jæren, where views of the flat jærlandskapet and the North Sea as a background certainly is worth experiencing. The jæren region may seem a little exciting to visit, but the site is so varied naturmessig that you will always find something interesting.

Where to stay in Stavanger

As with any Norwegian city, the high price of accommodations in Stavanger might be a bit of a shock. Luckily, the Norwegians have such a fondness for outdoor activities that most tourist destinations seem to be well served by several campsites in nearby areas. Rent a tent or a rustic cabin to appreciate Norway’s nature and cut costs. Alternatively, look for hotels in the city center around the Storhaug borough. Slightly outside of Stavanger lies the popular Sola Beach, where high-end hotels put you just steps from the sand.
