  • We left Tromsø in car, the weather was terrible and we wanted to discover the Norway a little warm. We took the direction of Sommarøy, indicate in the guide. This city is 1 h - 1 h 30 of Tromsø. The city is very pretty but the road, is much more pleasant and nice to do. It runs along the coast, you can see the turquoise water and the fjords. The winter road is passable, attention to the ice and wind. We could see two wild reindeer on the road.

  • Took a drive here from Tromso city; beautiful drive through the fjords! Feels like you're on the edge of the earth whilst here looking out towards the north pole. Great little cafe nearby also, search...  more »
  • The journey to visit Sommarøy alone merits a trip to Tromso, Norway and around on all the Ersfjord, valleys that boast beautiful landscapes, beaches with white sand and transparent water. A paradise on Earth! Coming to the end of the road you will have the opportunity to see in the distance the beautiful and special Håja Island, the island that inspired the architect Jan Inge Hovig's, the father of the Arctic Cathedral. A must to do if you are in Tromsø!
