Nigardsbreen Glacier, Sogndal Municipality
Categories: National Parks, Geologic Formations, Nature & Parks
Walk the blue ice of Nigardsbreen Glacier, one of the most accessible glaciers in Norway and part of a national park. The walk with a proper guide provides an opportunity to step inside the glacier, entering into its crater through a small cave. Across the glacier lies a glacial lake and, further down, the river delta. Bring good shoes, warm clothes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and plenty of water.
