Nigardsbreen Glacier, Sogndal Municipality
(4.8/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Walk the blue ice of Nigardsbreen Glacier, one of the most accessible glaciers in Norway and part of a national park. The walk with a proper guide provides an opportunity to step inside the glacier, entering into its crater through a small cave. Across the glacier lies a glacial lake and, further down, the river delta. Bring good shoes, warm clothes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and plenty of water. • An interesting hike deep into the blue glacier ice. Took place in the Blue Caves of ice. Obligatory warm woolen clothing even in summer. Walking involves your lunch (so need a thermos). Costs about 500 CZK per person. Perfect for anyone with no injuries. Walking at a normal pace. Really liked it.

  • My family has participated in the small glacier tour with children (8 and 13 J.) - this, the way in which to overcome simple climbing routes there, and the boat tour on the way back were great fun!

  • Who travels to Norway should look at necessarily a glacier. The best course with guide! Here the Nigardsbreen is glacier. It held several daily tours of varying degrees of difficulty. I had booked the blue ice 4-hour tour. The car park is within easy reach. The equipment is very nice in good condition, the leader, with a very good knowledge and provide therefore a sense of security. Wrap up warm things necessarily even in summer. On the glacier, it can become quite cool. And footwear is mandatory, of course. It is an impressive nature, actually lots of blue ice.
