Sognefjorden, Sogn og Fjordane

Categories: Geologic Formations, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.8/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web
Cruise into the narrower arms of Sognefjorden for sublime vistas of untouched nature and a dramatic landscape featuring abrupt cliffs and gushing waterfalls. Stretching 205 km (127 mi) inland from the ocean, this is the largest fjord in Norway and the longest ice-free fjord in the world. The innermost fjord's arm, Lusterfjord, is notable for its stave churches and the green-colored water that comes from melting glaciers. Grab a seat on a deck of a boat as the hamlets, farms, and orchards glide past, all against a backdrop of shoreline and towering mountains. Boat trips are expensive, so consider bringing your own food and drinks. For Sognefjorden and beyond, use our Vik Municipality holiday planner to get the most from your Vik Municipality vacation.

  • Do not miss cruising this fjord. Beautiful scenery on the way through this beautiful country. You will be amazed!
  • We have cloudy weather sometimes was a little rain, some Sun, but instead on the way you see a rainbow. The weather was not so good, but feeling good weather when you're imagining, lap top step side was. (Sunny weather is somewhat bad in other places when examined before the other less so. ) Is an image more and more becomes a river is a tributary of the other fjords in the image of the River River was at first, but gradually become widely. However, unlike the River, gulls flew quite a lot. Overlap will move the fjords and mountains and gradually, we will change the look. I love relaxed look to change views. We recommend to those who like change my facial expression, to gradually change the overlap of the mountain landscape. I would never regret.
