Petter Dass lived and worked here, but the place has much older history as well. The place is an old Vikings place, where it today is landscaped culture path out to the King's Hill where one can find the old Vikings tombs and beautiful Haugsneset. There you can enjoy the sea, the view of the Vega and great sunsets. It is also a great fishing spot for those who are interested in it. If you are thirsty or hungry a little coffee is coffee shop on the Petter Dass Museum a great place and take a break. Also recommend to take a look around in the buildings of the old days, as well as the Museum. Built is designed by architectural firm Snøhetta who are famous for their building across the world. Definitely worth a visit!

It is also nice nature trails that lead to such an old burial mound "Kong's mound". In the Museum is going on the concerts and more a cosy café which serves locally produced food is also available.
A very nice museum in the stunning surroundings. The place can also be used in connection with the events.
Was taken a little on the bed here. Had thought that this was a kjappt visit, but in it we entered the door started guiding of the Museum, and we were with the Guide opened with rendering of PD, and tell a little about the built and the story around. The wealth inside the Séance she suddenly put in time with the amazing song. Just as well was both the show with "service girl Olava" in the parsonage and the humor to she who guided in the Church. In addition to this is the stunning architecture and nature on the site. Information and guidance was over half the experience, as seen by one and a half hour to it, as well as a good hour or more to go around on the site. There is also a hiking trail one can go.
The architecture alone is worth a visit. The actual exhibit and tour we jumped over. They also have a small shop with a lot of good books for those interested, and various other souvenirs.
