Discover the relations between design, technology, science, and regional history at Vitenfabrikken (science centre). Featuring hands on exhibits and interactive presentations, the museum targets mostly children and young people as its audience. Take a glimpse of the starry sky and explore the universe at the museum’s planetarium. See the collections of bicycles and porcelain, showcasing the city’s industrial heritage. The adjoining building used to house an oat mill that operated from 1912 to 1988. You can still see the machinery that has been kept intact since the closing of the facility. The only downside for us french, the language because even if some things are translated, it is often too technical to understand and the planetarium is only explained in Norwegian. But we all enjoyed especially our children from 8 to 15 years.show original
One of the best science museums I have visited. Huge selection of topics and great interactive displays. Kids can do so much here from knitting a giant sock to playing with a crane.
Good fun all around :-)
Fun and learning for kids of all ages with plenty of interactive installations, planetarium and some fun theme shows. Well stocked museum shop with lots of gadgets and experiments for the kids.
