  • Probably one of the most stunning places in Norway. The water is so green and the mountains in the back are so beautiful. Recommend walking an easy walk to the end of the lake near the glacier.

  • This is a relatively easy hike from the parking lot above Sunndal. The paved parking lot has bathrooms and displays with history of the trail and maps of the area. We saw people pushing babies in...

  • Wow
  • Very beautiful place 💙
  • Beautiful! No other words for it. It's best to come early, otherwise there will be a lot of people
  • The 3 stars are only for the incredibly beautiful, turquoise glacial lake, which the other reviewers also meant. We went there today and can only confirm that the hike up there is family friendly and easy. On several websites and even on the information boards along the way, the blue 4-hour tour "to the glacier arm" of Bondhusbreen is advertised with the words: "... get very close (come)" and slightly. You have to be very suspicious of the descriptions to see that the family-friendly hike ends at the lake. After that, a rocky and muddy ascent began, which after the announced 2 hours only had signs that warned of caution and offered a poorer view of the remaining ice on the glacier tongue. The ice has receded so much in the gully that you can only see a small triangle in Vetledalen. All of the images used on the web show a much deeper glacier tongue, suggesting that you can hike really close to the ice. For the current condition, the arduous climb from the lake is not worth it - very sad. We weren't the only ones who turned back disappointed because we had different expectations.
