  • The convent is idyllically situated on an island and is very well restored. In the summer it is open also on Monday.

  • The monastery visit is worth the detour. The monastery is from 1130 and is restored, great and interesting. Request a small guided tour/information. Take a lap around the monastery. Lovely site.

  • Interested in history or historic buildings? This is where you need to visit! Marvelous architecture from the mid year 1000, with great guides and information.
  • When we get visitors, it's a must to show this place. It has its own terrifying stories. Good scenery.
  • Gorgeous former cloister with a museum and a beautiful chapel. Hosts a Shakespeare festival in summer in English. Come in the spring and see the lambs frolic in the beautiful pastures.

  • Old nice monastery out in the open sea. This place is well worth a visit if you have a little interest in history. It is part of the museums in Stavanger and is open to the public part of the year.
