  • Collecting mini bottles? I am pretty sure you don't have this many bottles. Really nice place with a lot of mini bottles, but that's not all. This is a must see!!  more »
  • An Impressive collection of bottles. Quirky installations. Bizarre soundtrack. Always fun to see one man's obsession turned into a museum.  more »
  • A fun museum, with a wonderful collection of miniature bottles in all forms and shapes. All exhibited in the great Mount/Cabinet with light, and some with sound. It is much more than the traditional "bottles", it is "bottles" shaped as famous people, animals, cars, flights, theme from well known events etc. .. As you walk around, you can enjoy refreshments from the bar. Are you a weekend in Oslo (open Saturday and Sunday), so take the time-good time-to to visit The Mini Bottle Gallery-it's much fun to see. And I'm pretty sure you've never seen anything like it.

  • It's such a strange place. It's a museum of mini bottles, it's quite lame, but the sense of whimsy and slightly amateurish feel just provide an inexplicable charm. Don't go specifically to see the place, but if you're passing and have half an hour to kill its a unique experience.
  • Really cool museum, have to pull one star since Ringnes is their main beer
  • Go here if you have done everything else in Oslo. It's a museum full of bottles. That said the bottles do have a certain appeal which wears off soon. You cand take a souvenir photo of yourself inside a huge vodka bottle... Kind of interesting, but I think the purpose of renting it for specific events would give you more value.
  • A singularly unique museum of 53,000 miniature bottles. A once in a lifetime visit, for better or worse.
  • If you have time to kill in Oslo, you should visit this place. You'll have a great time exploring all the thousands of bottles this museum has collected over the years.

Where to stay in Oslo

A majority of Oslo's hotels and smaller accommodations cluster along Karl Johans Gate, the city's main drag connecting many of its downtown attractions. If you want something a bit more colorful than the average hotel, consider one of the many bed and breakfasts that have been cropping up in recent years. To escape the crowded streets, but still be walking distance from major sights, stay in the Frogner or Majorstuen neighborhoods near the royal palace. As you can probably guess, lodging is quite expensive in this European capital.
