4.3/5 based on 25+ reviews on the web
Soak up some sun and swim with the locals at Oslo's Soerenga Public Pool, a beach in the middle of the city. A walk away from the opera house and central station, this spot is a popular place to visit in the summertime, when its large docks are crowded with people enjoying fine weather. Dive into the fjord to cool off or take in the views of the city that surrounds this body of water. The area boasts sand, grass, and a floating bridge, as well as several restaurants where you and your family or friends can grab a bite to eat. • A great place to just enjoy the view a beautiful sunny day or maybe eat something good at one of the restaurants here at Sørenga. Want to believe this place is the "new Aker Brygge".

  • Nice beach, large brigde and overall a nice place to bath near Oslo centrum. Sørenga is a new bulded area. Close to the Opera. Recommended to go there at summertime.
  • Advantages: Central, quite large, family friendly, nice view towards the Islands. Disadvantages: it is located at the edge of a building site, you have to walk past a construction site to get there, and you get love to hear a little build noise while you're there. On fine days it can get rather close in closely with people. I recommend it first and foremost to the people which is located in the city centre, and that will take a beach trip without spending so much time to get to the beach.
