  • This was round the corner from our hotel so decided to visit, and what a pleasant surprise it was too! It looks SO small but there was LOADS to see. All the environments that the animals were in were ...  more »

  • Good for small children. Friendly staff. Much to look at but little place. Rigid prices. You don't need to be there a long time before everything is seen and heard. The most exciting thing is to be able to take on and holding a snake. What I recommend.

  • Solid Museum. particularly liked the curiosity of the silk apes and the spiders were scary comment: the toad seemed boring and just sat there positives: 1) the museum shop. had toy snakes and some other good things 2) excellent signage. "fun facts" about all reptiles 3) all reptiles had nice habitats questions: 1) why are the silk apes and the dwarf silk apes not in the same cage? 2) where was the scorpion? 3) Why is the staff not more eccentric looking ( he seemed nice though ) ideas for improvement: 1) make it bigger 1 a) feed more often 2) Mexican Milk Snake sounds inappropriate. maybe change name? 3) there were reptiles close to the bathroom, which was nice. could be some in the bathroom for extra entertainment?
  • Decent place with a good amount of reptiles, spiders, fish, amphibians and more. Surprised by how much they packed in without the tanks looking too small. It's a bit no frills as it's just a bunch of tanks and not much to look at - a bit expensive for what you get too (about £15)
  • Lovely collection of snakes, spiders, lizards and other creatures. Only a short easy walk from the city centre, well worth a visit..
  • The kids loved it and I didn't run scared
  • A fine selection of different kinds of healthy reptiles.

Where to stay in Oslo

A majority of Oslo's hotels and smaller accommodations cluster along Karl Johans Gate, the city's main drag connecting many of its downtown attractions. If you want something a bit more colorful than the average hotel, consider one of the many bed and breakfasts that have been cropping up in recent years. To escape the crowded streets, but still be walking distance from major sights, stay in the Frogner or Majorstuen neighborhoods near the royal palace. As you can probably guess, lodging is quite expensive in this European capital.
