  • Nice museum. Has free lockers for coats and things. Not a lot to see. A Viking section, native, and when I was there a Egyptian section. Nice gift store located on site. If you’re already in that.....  more

  • Great museum, but closed at the moment. Will open when the new ugly place is erected, sometime next year. Hopefully the inside will look better than the outside.

  • The exterior of Nasjonalmuseet reminds me of a car parking or even a prison but coming inside is like an immense beauty of brilliant art. This is truly a must for everyone even with the slightest interest in art. The exhibitions are brilliantly presented by themes and timeline and best of all, the lighting of the individual objects are just perfect - I don’t think an exhibition can be presented any better than what is done in this brand-new museum.
  • Very nice museum, especially perfect for rainy days:) The building itself is seriously impressive. There is a large art exhibition, you also get to see infamous „skrik“/the scream by Edvard Munch. The ground floor offers an amazing collection of old furniture/clothing/ items from various decades. Definitely worth a visit, even on sunny days:)
  • Really great collection of art and artifacts from all over the world! Really well made rooms. A special shout-out to the staff that took care of me after I fell in the stairs, they brought me ice packs and kept checking on me every 5 mins. I really appreciated all their help and empathy! They even gave me a wheelchair so I could enjoy the museum. Unfortunate accident but was well taken care of and enjoyed the museum a lot!
  • Beautifully. Very interesting and mixed collection, mostly Norwegian artists, but also few masterpieces by international masters. Mixed classic and contemporary art, paintings, sculptures, but also applied arts, fashion, furniture. Highly recommended.
  • Kunst /art gallery Particularly liked The Thinker and the Piccolo picture. Can be lots of passers-bys, busy i prefer quietest times usually in the morning's. You can chill and enjoy your time
