Tickets are valid even for the architectural museum for 50NOK. Pretty worth the money spent to visit 2 museums at this price. Time spent here was about an hour for us to hide from the rain. Quite wort...  more »

We visited the Museum to see art. However, in somes ways the best part was the fish soup. It was creamy, spicy, and full of salmon and shrimps and a huge serving. We try a fish soup in just about ever...  more »

Great little museum. Not the best conteporary collection. The building's interior architecture alone is worth the price of admission.

This is one of the least exciting contemporary art museums I've ever been to and it shows in the lack of people visiting. There were some nice works in the collection but there was not enough to make to want to go back. Felt like there was more security than visitors around the place.

Where to stay in Oslo

A majority of Oslo's hotels and smaller accommodations cluster along Karl Johans Gate, the city's main drag connecting many of its downtown attractions. If you want something a bit more colorful than the average hotel, consider one of the many bed and breakfasts that have been cropping up in recent years. To escape the crowded streets, but still be walking distance from major sights, stay in the Frogner or Majorstuen neighborhoods near the royal palace. As you can probably guess, lodging is quite expensive in this European capital.
