Aker Brygge, Oslo

(4.4/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Stretching along one of the arms of the Oslo Fjord in the location of a former shipyard, Aker Brygge creates a melting pot where business people, artists, musicians, and celebrities meet and mingle. Several workshop halls of the 19th-century shipyard have been turned into shopping areas with restaurants, art galleries, and a cinema, creating a city-within-a-city. Shop, have a drink, or taste some fresh seafood at the restaurants on the boats by the dock. A walk along the waterfront, with its mixture of old buildings and modern architecture, gives a general view into the history of Norwegian shipbuilding. Visit one of the small harbors, hop on a boat, and take a ride to one of the nearby islands. The area hosts several festivals. • A beautiful place to walk by the harbour with amazing view of the sea, boats and the buildings. There are also restaurants, bars where you could take many amazing photos from here.
  • Lovely walk with a beautiful view of the city. Lots of nice restaurants and fun art and architecture. And some very expensive looking boats!
