  • The town itself is small and very cute. As we already wrote a review about hotel, Skarsvag is a great base for exploring the North Cape. For the town and surrounding hills deer roam free. Basically, next to the port is a tourist centre, promising Marines, but it was closed. Yet there is a gift shop with restaurant, where no alcohol is served, but you can try King crab and fish. As a point of interest-Rocky arch Kirkeporten-over hill and trail leads there. A pointer to this trail can be found at the entrance to the town. Good walking, and just north of the arch you can see interesting rocky shore. The main thing is that you are lucky with the weather, rain and slippery path. In General, if you got to Skarsvaga-make another few hundred steps up to the arch, you won't regret it!

  • We looked at the "church door" before driving to the Nordkapp and were absolutely delighted. The ways/platforms are marked with wooden pegs - either through or around the mountain - and are easy to deal with by anyone. Duration: approx. 25 minutes each way. The view through the cave is gorgeous and in any case, to recommend. The last part of is not suitable for children anyway, because borders left / right steep terrain to the sea.

  • Being on Nordkape, it is unacceptable to not highlight the schedule of his visit, a couple of hours and do not visit this quaint rock formation. Strikes not only the huge holes in the rock, but the rock itself looks like. Geotektoničeskie processes so fancifully have shrunk, perekrutili, turned and mixed layers of rock that gave the impression that it is not rock formation, but something amorphous type squashed clay. Go to a rock can be along the path of camping, which is located at the entrance to the village or on a footpath that begins in a small hotel in the village. The walk is available even for children. They say that this arch-gate in a parallel reality, in other worlds. I tried several times-failed.

  • Took a nice hike along the route to kirkeporten
  • Rented home campsite without shower and toilet. House was good beds in order. Bathroom could have been better.
