Hunderfossen Familiepark, Lillehammer

3.9
#1 of 15 in Theme Parks in Eastern Norway
Step inside Hunderfossen Familiepark and meet characters from Norwegian fairy tales. This amusement park, founded in 1984, offers a few wild rides for adults and lots of different activities for young kids and older children. A giant troll guards the treasure of the Norwegian folk stories, which is kept behind the gates of a 37 m (120 ft) tall castle. Ride through the fairytale castle, try to save a princess, or sit and eat traditional Norwegian food among the trolls in the restaurant. The park also features a science center and 4-D shows like "The Little Prince." Note that the shows are in Norwegian. We were three generations who visited the Park a Wednesday in august. The weather was nice and the location contributes to that the visit will be a great nature experience. It was customizable with people, nothing stress and queue was not a problem. Very impressive with such a wide offer of activities; We tried almost everything: roller coaster ride, rafting, adventure ship, energy Center, film and adventure-travel, wax Cabinet and so the bathroom we. Nice older children were good hosts. Eating places had received bad press coverage, so we took with packed lunches and bought good coffee and ice. So Diners can we do not express an opinion on, is a well adapted offers barbecue grills. It was a glorious day.

The park is fun for families with small kids. But if you're used to other parks, it is very boring. The dolls are silent, no quick attractions. The stories that are told in the attractions, are unfortunately only in Norwegian, so you know as a foreigner, not what it is about. Fun for some, the picnic area with a large bbq grill that anyone can use for free. And there is a climbing trail with rope bridges etc. This costs about €5.50 extra.
