Hunderfossen Familiepark, Lillehammer

(4/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Step inside Hunderfossen Familiepark and meet characters from Norwegian fairy tales. This amusement park, founded in 1984, offers a few wild rides for adults and lots of different activities for young kids and older children. A giant troll guards the treasure of the Norwegian folk stories, which is kept behind the gates of a 37 m (120 ft) tall castle. Ride through the fairytale castle, try to save a princess, or sit and eat traditional Norwegian food among the trolls in the restaurant. The park also features a science center and 4-D shows like "The Little Prince." Note that the shows are in Norwegian. • Is mighty proud that I during my stay in Lillehammer, as URadm.dir. for Rica Victoria Hotel, got to be with as a shareholder and Board member of the start-up. An enthusiastic Anders Huuse and our wonderful Ivo goats cheese, were fellow players with hotels. Incredibly instructive to be part of this adventure, as you only the m to visit especially if you are in Lillehammer with children or grandchildren.

  • We went here, without children, for tips and was not unhappy. Plus, all included in entrance in addition to food and drink. To ride a horse and wagon, walking among the ogres and fairytale Castle was the magic one winter evening. And all ice sculptures, iskatedralen and ice hotel was a delight to the eye. Everything ends with an amazing fireworks show games to the opulent magic music! Only minus was the restaurant, bad coffee and less good food. But worth a visit even for adults.

  • This is a regular amusement park in the summer, with a theme of Norwegian traditional stories and trolls. Now, during winter they also have some activity. At six in the evening, you are greeted by tro...  more »

  • It's a great place for young kids, My niece loved the talking "animal theatre" and driving a tractor. The energy centre is also entertaining. Some parts are abit old and could have been upgraded, but there are also some new attractions. Food is pricy, but you can bring your own food and use the bbq equipment for free, and if you rent a small trolly it's easy to get around with stuff. Plan to spend some time ib the kids tempo and you will have a great day! For the grown ups its a good place to learn a little about Norwegian culture and stories
  • A very nice park in beautiful surroundings, a lot to do both for the children and for their parents!
  • Great for kids, with lot's of depicted myths fairy tales and... yes trolls. (hey it's Norway).
  • Flott tradisjonsrik park med veldig hyggelig vertskap, både ungdommer og seniorene på energisenteret! Litt trekk fordi man loses gjennom butikker etter aktiviteter.
  • Full of fun activities for children..
