If you are interested or not history you should really make the trip here. The Museum is located in historic surroundings and only the area should you visit Karljohansvern haven't been there. The Museum offers guided tours of the scroll a real submarine set on land, old MTBs etc. The people who work there are old marine officers and have incredibly high knowledge of the Navy in particular, and history in General. I'm not sure but I have also been told that this is Norway's oldest museum and the world's oldest marine museum but is not sure there Is one. like I said visit you will not regret. Here is the exhibition from the early 1600 's and until today. Amazing models and mount with the punches from different wars. Interressant for both young and old!show original
I've been almost every year since I was a child and there is still lots there to always be interesting. I'd highly recommend it.
Very good, lots to see, walk on board of real submarine, explore the history of the Norwegen navy, will keep you interested for maybe 2 hours. All for free. Café nearby.
Very good! We was suprised that it wasn't closed. They are actually open from 12-4 pm everey single day until 1 September. The service was very good and nearby you also can find something to eat.
