#4 of 8 in Outdoors in Geiranger
Follow the guardrails and walk behind the scenic waterfall of Storseterfossen. The goat path is well-secured and you'll get to experience the rushing waters pouring down in front of you. While the path is relatively steep and extends over stone slabs, it's usually a simple walk for people of all ages. Find views of historic huts near the falls and check out goats taking in the sun. The most popular path takes about one hour from Geiranger. Plan to visit Storseterfossen during your Geiranger vacation using our convenient Geiranger day trip planning site .

If you're in Geiranger it is certainly nice to snag this route to the waterfall. The route is not very interesting. You follow actually 2 km long a kind of grand staircase to the top. You are constantly on the rise and along the way have you got some nice views and every now and then some sheep, but there is not much variation in the route itself. Arrived at the storseterfossen you could with a ladder down to behind the waterfall. Not something you are going through every day and so fun to do! In addition, you had also a beautiful view from above and it wasn't very busy which is also very fine! The route take approximately 45 minutes to complete and is definitely worth it to pick up for a new experience! In addition, you have also the possibility a second route to run from the waterfall. This is the route to the top of the Laushornet! This is really very heavy and very style (to top do you have about 3 hours), but then you have the most beautiful view of the Geiranger Fjord. So do you want extra challenge, change to this route (about this route is not a lot of information to find).

Nice easy hike to this not famous waterfall, small but really scenografic. The parking is just in front of a nice restaurant.  more »

Fabulous walk and awesome waterfall. We left a tasty geocache for friends but they won't be able to get there. Consequently it's available to the first person to get it. Once above the waterfall, look below the info board on the track down behind the waterfall. Two small stones hide the treasure. Enjoy!

A very special walk. It's something steep and when it rains it is smooth but it's well worth it. You can totally walk behind the waterfall.
