  • Inspired by the TV series "Anno" which was recorded here, we took the trip to at the same time that we visited Isegran in Fredrikstad. The last ferry from the old town and it takes about 5 minutes out, and it's free. That's a plus. Isegran could have been so much, it could have been so interesting! And I'm sure it also, but even though we were there in the middle of July, it was disappointingly little information out there and we felt quite left to ourselves. The café/restaurant was closed, not a coffee cup was to get hold of. We strolled around and glanced at the buildings, recognized the surroundings from the television series and got us a little story, but it could have been so much more, so much the better. But what really was negative, was how difficult it was to get back to Old Town again. It sounded all right out-just a 5-minute boat ride back. But it helped little when the ferry was full and only a small fraction of the approximately 25 who stood in line got be back. We threw us on a boat that went "wrong" way and got us a pretty nice boat ride on the river Glomma as a bonus. But then we stopped by on our way back again Isegran, stood there still people who we had been standing in line with earlier and waited. To stand there and see that the 2-3 the ferries go by without that one gets to be with back, is frustrating. And that's the feeling we are left with after the visit on Isegran.

  • Please feel free to tour there in good weather. The attractions are modest but cosy. The area is best suited for recreation and kos. Culture the memories are few and not kept in an original condition. Good parking facilities but little information on arrival.
