Brekkefossen, Flam

Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web
Marvel at the long drop of Brekkefossen, a waterfall pouring from a hanging valley through a twisting gully. Though it can be viewed in full from the Flam railway, up close you can only take in about 115 m (377 ft) of the gorgeous waterfall's full 545.5 m (1,790 ft)--this perhaps accounts for its being generally overlooked. Wear sturdy shoes on the steep trek to the viewing point at the falls' base, where you will also be rewarded by beautiful sights of Flam, a nearby village. Take a walking stick if you need a little extra help to climb the trail. For Brekkefossen and beyond, use our Flam holiday planner to get the most from your Flam vacation.

  • A delightful waterfall, fun climb a mountain and from the height of the view of the fjord. Be sure to visit.

  • Light hiking course and think it was full though, climbing into the mid-gone. Still, the scenery is too good looking to climb up. So pretty while also taking pictures of time would take ~ I'm referring to hiking trails ~

  • I have no idea who this lovely country, together with its surroundings, offer the best of itself especially in winter, when covered with snow, can finally express all its magic. As soon as I was lucky enough to visit this place, in August, it was absolutely delighted. I don't think returning to Norway but, if I were to, it will be one of the places I would like to review!
