  • Extremely spectacular waterfall set amidst rugged mountain scenery. Among the top 5 things I've ever seen. Not as much water as Niagara but in the middle of nowhere so somehow more impressive. Even th...  more »
  • Very famous waterfall in Norway, height 182 m. Huge volumes of water falling into the Valley of Mabodalen. There is an observation deck, shop. An observation deck is located to the left and down from the parking lot. Climbing up, be careful, there are warning signs of falling. These places are in the process of resettlement. The second observation deck is located at the top of the hotel, reachable by car.

  • A beautiful waterfall !!! Definitely worth a visit!!! Especially to approach him through the back (through the hotel Fossli). Then you see at least the entire waterfall. When we were there, the railings were renewed for safety. Awesome view which takes your breath away! Also very cool that you can look through the whole valley, without there being cultivated.
  • It´s probably the most spectacular waterfall in Norway. Nevertheless, the surroundings are rather unsafe, there are many ways to get closer to the waterfall, but some some of them are quite dangerous. Since the access to the waterfall from the R7 is very easy, this site is definitely recommended.
  • Without a doubt the most famous waterfall in Norway and one of the main tourist attractions of Norway. There is a big parking along the R7 and it is a short walk to the several viewpoints on the Voringfossen. Actually there are two waterfalls next to each other: Vøringsfossen and Tyssvikjofossen. If you want, you will also have a great view from the Fossli hotel at the top of the waterfall. You walk or take the car. For people who like a good hike, you can also walk in the canyon up to the bottom of the waterfall. A walk starts When driving back to Eidfjord, just before the tunnel. There is a parking. First walk further back over the bikeroad until you see a path going down.
  • We come from the mounting and start to climbing down and suddenly this wonderful place open for us. So magic and wonderful!!
  • Awesome sight to see. Still has its natural, but unsafe surroundings. Watch your step or nature will have you.
