Saltstraumen, Bodo

4.5
Saltstraumen represents a narrow strait with the strongest tidal current in the world, which makes it popular among divers and anglers. The current produces maelstroms and whirlpools up to 10 m (33 ft) in diameter and 5 m (16 ft) deep. Walk up to the bridge to see the foaming stream from above, or descend to the waterfront to view it up close. The water swarms with various species of fish like cod, halibut, and coalfish, the regional specialty. You can fish from the bridge, the shore, or a boat. • Tidal current, located between the islands of Straumøy and Straumen, it causes between ebb and flow that is one fjord (Saltfjord) flows into the second (Skjerstadfjordu). Between the tides flowing through the Strait, about 400 000 000 cubic meters of water, which arise from the impressive faith and vacuum pump. We ran out of the 768 m long Saltstraumenský bridge and waited for the "water chaos" (prohlašovaný as the largest in the world). No phenomenon, however, did not take place. (Inflows and outflows Schedules can be said to be, according to the Guidebook, get in the local tourist office.) We didn't have the luck on faith, but views of the countryside from the heights of the bridge have been great.
