Stoltzekleiven, Bergen

(4.8/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
Marvel at the view of the Sandviken area and the Byfjorden fjord by climbing Stoltzekleiven trail. This steep, paved path is a stairway with over 700 steps. Reach the top and you will be able to see a lake view, or continue to Mount Floyen. Though the trail is short, it can be physically demanding; it is recommended for people in good physical condition. Watch your step if you visit in winter, as it can be very slippery. Make Stoltzekleiven a centerpiece of your Bergen vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Bergen trip itinerary planner.

  • Is a ride hard depending on how is it take one / to, can climb of the flip or little by little and enjoy of the landscape and go pulling photos. I did it in half an hour and I am not trained, stopped to shoot photos of the landscape which is well beautiful when you're climbing. If you are going by bus you have to take one that will address Sandviken.Una above can continue and bind your route in address to mount Fløyen and Floybanen.esta final route would be about 2 or 3 hours. In spring, it is perfect.

  • This is something everyone should try, but don't go for this trip if you don't take the stairs to the 3 floor. Here it is about 800 m with the incline. You should be well trained to go for this trip.

  • Don't be fooled-this is not fun, exciting, fun, or something else that you can use positive words about. This is a blood slit! I worked on a boat with a kompetitivt crew when I decided to try to go up Stoltzen. Best man on Board had made the trip at around 14 minutes, and best in the cruise line was at around 12 minutes. When I had not trained for the past two years, it was with some skepticism I would embark on the challenge. I don't remember so much of the actual trip. I started to think that "Hey-this a dream come true!". I realized why this still fast ground is associated with hate and competition. Blood taste in my mouth came reasonably fast too. It was not many minutes before I started to ask myself "Why in the black do I do this?!". The last 5 minutes, I went more or less on all 4. The rain made everything slippery, wet, cold and gruesome, and close to the top was skodden dangerously close. I clocked in at 21 minutes and 50 seconds at the top. There was little joy or euphoric feelings to track, just a relief to have managed that. To have survived that heart formelig came up through my throat. I would only recommend this trip if you like even the pining or competition. It's not fun, nice, cool or anything else. It's just heavy, painful and tiring. Good ride!
