  • 10 minutes from the pier you will find St Mary's Church. It was the only one of the churches in the city centre that was not under renovation when we were there.

  • Saw the towers in the distance hadn't planned to visit until we were in front of the building. Interesting interior it was nice to sit and simply soak in the surroundings. Very peaceful.
  • Ancient Church of Bergen, which has beautiful works of carved wood and brochures in several languages. If I suggest it is visiting.

  • Entrance is 50kr. Not worth the the entrance fee. Not sure how the church can justify this.
  • Renovated by 2015. But the outdoor area is also very nice

  • Unfortunately, the Church cannot be visited because it is being renovated until 2015! The Church was built in the 12th century in the Romanesque Gothic style and is the oldest church in Bergen. True a German Church of the Hanseatic League. Was preached here german until 1868.
