KODE Art Museums of Bergen boasts pieces by renowned Norwegian and international artists mainly from the 20th century, including Munch, Kandinsky, Picasso, Rodin, Klee, and Miro. Four buildings house several collections of paintings, as well as the historical interiors of Bergen homes and objects of decorative art. Take time to view the important collection of Scandinavian art from "the golden age," and the "silver treasure" exhibit, where you can view handicrafts from the last 500 years. The former administration building of the electrical power plant from 1938 today houses the first children's museum featuring a specially designed kids' art lab.   • I really enjoyed my time at the KODE art museums. There were some big names, but most impressive were the collections of Norwegian artists. I hadn't heard of most of them and it was really nice to see...  more »
  • I was surprised at how many famous works and artists it is at this museum. It was also affordable, transparent to find and good facilities.
