  • Charming historical village which, having arrived after 17, we could not visit with the Guide. However it is nice to stroll through these lodges, where time seems to stand still and, especially, admire the stunning views of the fjord.

  • Beautiful historic village close to flam. To try because the scenery of the fjord is unique and inimitable, the walk to get there winds through breathtaking, goats, waterfalls etc. Worth the trip, especially for the guided tour and homemade ice cream. ... they say it's yummy. I say so because when we went we found open and this was really a disappointment. Pity, but we consoled the eyes more than stomachs!

  • Still closed as of mid May 2017, thought the signage says welcome... there's a low barrier across the road. Nothing at the bottom of the hill indicates it's closed and the hiking maps given out in Fla...  more »

  • Very peaceful and quiet place. The cabins were closed when we have been there but you can have a look inside trough the small holes. The place feels kind of abboned but the view into the fjord is beautiful. Take some time and enjoy the peaceful athmosphere over there.
  • The view was nice, but not unlike the rest of the views in this area. When we arrived the gate was open, but it was closed behind us while we were in there despite never having seen anyone. It gave a bit of a weird feeling to the experience.
  • Very atmospheric
  • It's the first time I've seen where my family came from.
  • The place itself has nothing special. Will be that when I visited it was raining and everything was closed, but did not give me the impression of an agglomeration characteristic or worthy of a visit. Can be reached in 5 minutes walking distance from the main street. Nothing of that.
