  • A very nice hiking trip with a stunning view from several places. Only negative was the way down, challenging for your knees.

  • Wonderful and thrilling hike which is worthy to go and view the mountains and fjord.
  • Amazing views! The hike up is not long (1.5h) but challenging
  • Top 10 viewpoints in the world I got to see (3 year backpacking). Certainly worthwhile, Norways best that we experienced - among Kjerag, Trolltunga or Preikestolen. From summit 1 to 2 there are a couple trickier ridge walks with some chains to help but require full on climb. Our dog was worried a bit and we had to lift her by the harness twice. Hiked with Family, 10 and 16 year old.
  • A stunning hike, one of our most enjoyable in our lifetime. The route is clearly marked with a red T or a red mark on a rock, you can’t miss it. We were fortune and got a lift to the start point, but a bus is available with early drop off times. The first 30 mins are reasonable ascent with easy footing, you then reach a steeper section which takes about 45 mins to ascend and would be considered a level 1/2 scramble in the UK. You then reach a plateau before crossing the ridge, with some exposing sections, which will be challenging for those who don’t have a head for heights. After this section it is flat the majority of the way across, before you reach Eggen restaurant and you can then either take the gondola down, or walk down (45 mins) passing the Rampestreken. Eggen restaurant welcomes walkers, despite also having a restaurant with very upspcale dining. We experienced every possible weather on this hike and by the time we reach the restaurant and the ramp it was shrouded in fog which meant there were no views (nothing more than 20ft ahead of you!), which was a shame, but a good demonstration of how quickly the weather can shift as we had glorious sunshine 20 mins before. Come prepared, trail or hiking shoes required. Bring water and food. Approx 7.7miles from start to finish (if you walk down rather than taking the gondola)
