  • Very tough climb up through difficult terrain (tree roots, rocks, slippery areas with ramp chains here and there to hold on to). 500m altitude difference between start and finish. Not for the faint...

  • This is a really "must do" in Åndalsnes. Challenging hiking towards the top (45 min if you're in good shape), the forest is an really nice experience itself. The top is magic!

  • The cable car ride to the top is very smooth. The really good views are behind the shop at the top of the mountain. The terrain is rough but reasonable.
  • Nope. No need for such an ugly structure in a beautiful natural environment. Sure, the view is nice, but it's the same that you have from any rock in the mountain. No need to destroy nature to enable tourist to have an instagram worthy picture.
  • An amazing cable car ride from sea level to over 2500 ft in five minutes. Fantastic views from the top. Restaurant and facilties are typically Norwegian - clean and well laid out.
  • Earn your way to the view by doing the hike. It isn't easy but it's well worth it! Took my boyfriend and I 1:20 up and 1 hr down and we don't hike much.
  • It's a steep hike up 500m, a mixture of tree roots, rock and carved steps. Not the easiest hike in rain due to the tree roots and slippy rocks. Beautiful view from the viewpoint and worth the climb! Then if you want you can continue to hike to the top where the cable car is.
