Fjellstua Viewpoint provides a panoramic view over the white, yellow, and, red steep-roofed buildings of the small town stretched along the shoreline. To get there, start from the pedestrian shopping street at the foot of the hill and climb the 418 steps following the signposts. Have a snack at the scenic cafe on the top.   • Great all round view of the surrounding area with good points for photos. There is a train or you can climb the steps. It has a cafe and toilets. 
  • Get there via the small tourist bus-train carriages or do the 450+ steps to the top of Alesund. But by whatever means, GET THERE. A simply breath-taking view of the town below
