A serene park rich in greenery marks the birthplace of Kim-sung II at Former Residence of Mangyongdae. Once a village, and now a huge park, the site provides you with the glimpse of Korean life and the leader's childhood. The site contains small huts, each of them presenting some historic artifacts, from vases to pictures. You can drink water from the well, which Kim-sung II drank because of its health properties. Keep in mind that the site demands respect--you must follow the rules and behave accordingly.
