Hikulagi Sculpture Park, Alofi

2.5
#6 of 15 in Things to do in Alofi
Highlighting global environmental concerns, Hikulagi Sculpture Park showcases a variety of artwork from local and international artists that highlight the ideas of pollution, climate change, and human co-existence. The park is located within a natural rainforest, with visitors encouraged to interact and even contribute to the sculptures. The pieces are primarily made of recycled and discarded objects, showing how one man’s trash can be used as an artistic medium. Although small, the park promotes a concept with international relevance. • If you're passing by - stop in for a visit. Perhaps in time this park will continue to grow and become something great. It was interesting, and a little quirky.  more »
  • this is just a little bit out of the ordinary, it won't blow you away but is quirky and unusual and well worth a look  more »
  • Worth popping into this field of unused bits n pieces. A couple of the recycled sculptures are quite clever others just weird. A good idea at cleaning up the island and making some use of rubbish.  more »
