  • This visit here isn't for weak stomachs. This is part of Nicaragua's recent history of a brutal dictatorship and an American intervention. A guide will show the dungeons and cells beneath the citadel ...  more »

  • A site little visited by foreign tourists, but very visited by tourists. There is a path from the road to the hill where is located the Fort, which is usually used for exercise by the local population. The site is a bit forgotten but continues to be a monument to the war who lived the country some time ago. You can enter into the dungeons, but it must be done with some caution since there are two basements and in which lies down many bats nest and there is no lighting. It is better to enter into group and with a flashlight. The view of the city is pleasant. It is a place that worth a visit and is very close to Managua.
