  • It is known by the section where they sell crafts, which unfortunately is the safest because it is the part that visiting foreigners. But the rest of the market is not bad: in comparison with other markets such as the Eastern or the Israel. All the items are together: there are sections for crafts, clothing, shoes, hair salons, eateries, flowers. Note: You must always take precautions to prevent theft

  • Good place to find artesanías, souvenirs, rosquillas and other Nicaraguan sweets. you have to pay 5 córdobas to park but it has security and it's very organized (unlike other mercados). You can buy nice hammocks and even plants, trees and flowers at very cheap prices!
  • Nice place to get souvenirs but prices can escalate quick for tourists. Has everything from dry and wet goods and food and non food items. Has formal stores, small stalls and peddlers. Can be quite a maze due to its size. Garbage can be seen lying in many corners like most local markets. Big parking area.
  • Good variety of hand made purse and ceramic, so many thing that you can find. The hamac are beautiful.
  • Great place to shop local gifts, clothes, and groceries! Good prices and big parking lot. I don't buy food from there, i don't trust the sanity. I just love to buy my fruits, veggies and stuff for piñatas.
  • Great place to buy local gifts . But beware do not buy food from here or eat in the restaurants.. I spent 3 days with a high fever and sitting on the toilet half the time.
