  • Poneloya beach is the beach most close to the city of León, just 20 minutes you are there. It is characterized for being one of the most visited in the summer by Leon, so there are many places to eat a good seafood and a refreshing swim. Caution is important to consider not getting to the water at low tide, currents are strong. But outside of that when the tide goes up is a wonderful place.

  • This beach is located very near the city, and across Las Penitas. I recommend visiting the Peña del Tigre, from where views of both beaches are. It is a beautiful place to watch the sunset, drink a beer, eat something. At night the sky is fascinating! The surf is strong, so you have to bathe with caution.
