  • The cathedral itself is very average. However the views from the top is amazing. The white domes are beautiful. Reminded me a little of Barcelona. Easily the best thing in Leon.
  • Very big church built in 1700. It is the biggest church in all Central America and one of the best attractions to visit in Leon. With too many details in its architecture and in its interior, you can ...  more »
  • Beautiful cathedral inside. Definitely pay the $3 to climb to the top as the views are amazing of the city.

  • I place you must visit if you go to Nicaragua my first time in the country. The three dollars I paid for the tour was worthy. You will have a tour guide to explain everything about the cathedral and the city. One of the best places I visited.
  • Impressive size and architecture inside and out. Go pay a minimal fee to climb the rooftop to see great views of the city. You will be required to go barefoot to preserve the paint. Also has a small museum in the basement.
  • Beautiful church. One of the oldest and largest in latin america
  • One of the major sights in this small town, which is a easy day-trip destination from Managua.
  • Newly renovated cathedral. Cost is 84 Cordoba ( $3 USD) to go up to the top. Well worth it. It was open on Sunday.
