Punta Jesus Maria, Isla de Ometepe
Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Once a natural dock for indigenous fishers, Punta Jesus Maria now simply sits as a narrow strip of land formed by rising and lowering tides. Take in a panoramic view of the two neighboring volcanos Maderas and Concepcion in the background. Shady trees await in abundance at the nearby beach, which also features calm shallow waters, great for swimming or kayaking. The attraction is rather isolated, so don't expect many tourist facilities. Pack your own lunch and drinks. Put Punta Jesus Maria into our Isla de Ometepe travel itinerary planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Isla de Ometepe.
