Create an itinerary including Laguna Charco Verde
Verdant nature trails with looming trees, lovely dark-sanded beaches, and excellent swimming conditions await at Laguna Charco Verde. Access the lush greenery here via a short walking trail, and then enjoy swimming in the calm waters. Note that while the water appears murky, this is not due to lack of sanitation but rather the sediments from the bottom of the lake mixing with the water. Local legend tells of an ancient, lanky witch called Chico Largo, who occasionally appears in the lake to go fishing. • Incredible nature walks, especially the the Piscacho trail! This extra trail has some elevation so good shoes are needed but there are beautiful views and we saw TONS of monkeys, birds, lizards and other wildlife. Truly beautiful and worth the time and extra effort.
  • Very nice place, where you can take a walk in the forest. We saw a few monkeys and lots of insects. 5$ fee for foreigners. 3$ fee for Nicaraguans.
  • Nice walk with the possibility to see many animals.
  • The owner of this park tried to preserve and reastablish original local nature. You see butterfly, lot of birds and if your lucky some monkey. Support it by giving a visit.
  • It has a good story which is enough to enjoy the place!
