Visit Guadalupe Church, which was originally built in the 17th-century, and still bears marks from battles that occurred throughout the 19th-century. It was originally built between 1624 and 1626, however, it suffered major damage and was rebuilt throughout its turbulent lifetime. A small set of stairs lead up to the church. The front features three tall wooden doors, two bell towers flanking either side of the main facade, and a central dome located toward the rear of the structure. Head up to one of the bell towers and take in views over the city out toward the sea. • The Church of Guadalupe is a Pearl in the sea of Granada, despite being neglected, since that neglect the look of full body. Its façade and walls still have wounds sustained in the fighting triggered in the presence of the American William Walker, ephemeral invasive autodeclaarado President of Nicaragua, who mercilessly attacked the city of Granada with included Guadalupe Church.

  • Very beautiful place! Granada in general is well known for it´s colonial architecture. This is a lovely example of it. Half-way from the main square, to the lake shore, it is a small walk from down town. You can find tons of other spots in your way there.
  • Decent church, if you position yourself right you get a good view down calzado towards the parque central.

  • Great place to be , a window into the past in March 2015!
