  • We sat in the sun on the covered deck and sampled wine with a shared platter. The restaurant is situated on a slight rise looking north across the vineyards. Very pleasant. Recommend the bread and dip...  more »

  • Beautiful site, well worth visiting for that fact alone. Also great wines, tasters offered, restaurant staff almost insist on bookings for a table (call in advance).
  • Wine tasting with freshly made pizza and side salad. Food, wine, service and staff all really good. Lovely place to relax and unwind. Prices are bit on the expensive side but can't fault the quality.
  • A couple of the pizzas were pretty black on the bottom (yes, it's woodfire oven pizza, but I'm talking BLACK). Service was a bit slow, and it's really hot on a summery day since there's no aircon! Wines were decent.
  • All the wines on the tasting are great. Best merlot we've had in NZ, and one of the best wineries we've been to (we have also visited champagne France region, and Napa twice). The food is delicious, some of the best we have had in NZ. Go on Sunday evenings to have a burger as delicious as those you would find in Texas (think Hopdoddy but with thousand island instead franks hot sauce and sassy sauce). Or get the pizza because it is awesome. Do what we did and get the prosciutto pizza BUT add mushroom, and of course get some rocket salad. Simon is a treat to talk to and so is the entire family. My wife and I ate three meals in a row there, eating pizza two times because the dough melts in your mouth. The third time was the burger--very satisfying. (Ps, Shout out to Serial Griller from your Texas friend who didn't vote for Trump).
  • Love the burger night on Sunday where the burger food truck came to the vineyard. There are live music and wine. You get to enjoy it under the open sky with views of the vineyard.
