  • so romantic to stand and feel the breeze thru your hair. Fresh smell of beaches and crisp air. Warm white sand amazing .
  • Whangamata is one of the beaches most beautiful that we had to visit, we adore the climate and location. The sand is soft and thin, water is Emerald, seems the Caribbean in NZ, the climate is very good, it shows that we are in the North Island! In the village there are restaurants and bars. We spent the night in whangamata motor camp, highly recommended, with electricity, water and good facilities. The place had cabins also, but we use the site because we had a campervan.

  • I love whangamata. Everything is so nice with the beach just a short walk away. Great place to take the kids.
  • Really enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have a peaceful, fully furnished and very tidy house to stay on our NZ holiday. They even have satellite TV!
  • What a lovely place to stay! Close to the estuary, everything was so peaceful. The house was very neat and tidy, and well stocked with things such as board games.
