  • Amazing stories about Wellington. History for last century. Experience of day life. Highlights from history. Time travel machine is awesome. Don't forget the attic exhibit! And it's for free. I think it gives you more than e.g Weta Cave which is with admission. Good to donate a little to box before exit.
  • Great place for families. This is such a good museum. Never get bored of coming here. Exhibitions are accessible&the recently added 'Attic' is great.
  • Extremely fun little museum with lots to see. This is a spot that is well worth spending a few hours exploring. Not to be missed even though the larger Te Papa museum is just around the harbour. It still felt worthwhile and fun after already visiting the other museums.
  • Nice place to wander through. Some specific displays were quite good. Free entry.
  • A fantastic place to wander around in afternoon, the kids love it as well. And the new Attic will feed your "steampunk" sensibilities. hint: stay out of the captains cabin, icky people 'do things' in there.
