  • I preface this review by stating that if you intent to lounge (or eat) at the library and its cafe, IT GETS BUSY. Often there are simply no seats to speak of, but I think it is a victim of its own suc...  more »

  • What's not to love about a library. We were just visiting wellington and I need a place to work and open my laptop and I had a productive afternoon here. Nice ambience to work / study, especially with the view overlooking the harbour - couldn't ask more! We get a free wifi from the city as well - Thank you Wellington.
  • this library is good for everything else just there is major problem. you can only use 4 types of websites that end with .govt . school . org etc. even google is not free to use . you have to pay 6$ for just 1 hour ? ridiculous. i went to national library 15 min away. and they don't charge anything. moreover. i was applying for a licence on a govt website though. there was a photo checker column and i click on that. the browser was so old that i was not able to tick that column as it was not showing there. i try other computer same problem. here in national library i can use it easily.
  • We are so lucky to have such a great range of books, magazines and dvds at this library. Great selection.
  • A large and very well equipped library, colocated with the Citizens Advice Bureau and Clark's Cafe. The collection is extensive and covers pretty much anything you would care to read. There's also a large audiovisual section where music and movies/TV series can be hired. There's a special children's area with beanbags and toys, which hosts children's storytime and other activities. Throughout the four levels of the library there are plenty of armchairs forr quiet reading, desks for individual study, and tables for group discussion. It's a good place to meet a friend or do some individual work. It's also warm and inviting in winter when it's cold and wet outside.
  • Free wifi, great range of books, good kids spaces quiet, comfortable and friendly staff.
