  • $15 enterance or $25 including the tour. Take the tour. I learnt so much more about WW1 and our tour guide added so much extra that was not on the walls to read. The tour was 45 minutes and then we we...  more »
  • This is a must see at the museum. Very emotional, but gives you a realistic glimpse into the horrors of the wars. The exhibit is done to a very high standard. Very educational. I highly recommend ever...  more »

  • Being an American and a Marine, of course I am familiar with our part in The Great War but we are not taught the history of your ANZAC. I was thoroughly impressed with the museum, the portrayals, the figures, art and authentic artifacts (actually from some of the battles in Europe). Our tour guide was spot on and she was able to answer some in depth questions. I strongly recommend anyone, but particularly service members from both sides, visit this museum.
  • Excellent follow-up to the te papa exhibit. The color in the photos and the different models (small and large) really bring to life the horrors of the war. The information around each area gave me new background to the kiwi story of war but also the cause of the hostility. It was certainly better than when we got taught about it oh school and I liked the kids finder challenge too. The figurines in the hill mockup are truly perfection and the detail is astounding.
  • Incredible but immensely emotionally overwhelming. Thoroughly worthwhile doing the guided tour.
  • The guided tour for an extra $10 with David was well worth it. Displays and info worth seeing.
  • Fantastic place if you are into this sort of thing.
