Scorching Bay, Wellington

Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web
Take a dip at Scorching Bay, a crescent-shaped sandy beach popular with sunbathers and swimmers alike. Sheltered from the northerly wind in a natural coastal inlet, the beach benefits from a pavilion housing toilets, shower facilities, and parking for mobility scooters. Kids will enjoy the rope-climbing play area, and a nearby cafe serves up snacks. Make use of the great visibility out to sea by watching boats enter and leave the harbor, and purchase sporting equipment at the local shops to play with on the well-maintained grassy area. Scorching Bay is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Wellington Edition.
