  • We walked up the track from majoribanks street. Good 30 mins up. 15 minutes down. Worth the effort. Great View. Recommend it.  more »
  • The views are superb from the top, and the drive to get there provides a glimpse into what living in Wellington is like. Well worth the effort in all but the wettest weathers!  more »

  • The mount Victoria lookout gives the 360 degree view of Wellington. You can Wellington harbor, airport and Wellington skyline. You can drive here or take a bus. You can also do walks or do mountain biking based on your preferences. The good time to visit the place is morning but more stunning during the sunset. No public toilets available. Just a drinking water fountain.
  • It is a great place which gives all around views of Wellington city. One can go by car to the top. There is a decent sized car parking. One can see airport, harbour and a lot of Wellington city area. There is no toilet. Worth visiting if you are traveling to Wellington. Recommended!
  • Spectacular view overlooking Wellington city and surrounds. It is a 45 minutes hike from the city centre. The path is clearly marked and pretty scenic. On top of the lookout it offers 360ÂșC view of the city (from Cook Strait to the airport, to Wellington Harbour and the Botanic Garden). On a sunny and clear day, South Island is also visible. Free parking and public buses are also available.
  • Awesome on a sunny day. Love the toilets addition just down from the summit. I'm local but it's awhile since I've admired the complete view of Wellington. The walk up thru the bush is great too.
  • Amazing views of the city and access to a great park on the ridge. Parking is free with two car parks with space for around 30 cars. There is a bus stop at the top of the hill, though the bus isn't hugely frequent. There are a number of information boards covering the wind (a big aspect of Wellington life) and the Antarctic treaty. A must see spot!
