  • We had a refreshing early morning wander around the Wharf and stopped for coffee before 8am. We enjoyed seeing the range of food trucks but were headed to a 9:30am brekkkie. So, we shopped the market ...  more »
  • You may make this a long or short walk of several kilometres as it goes all around the waters edge to Evans Bay. You can approach this just across the road from Wellington Railway station and turn rig...  more »
  • The fruit and vegetables are fresh and well priced. It pays to shop around as quality and price varies from different stakeholders. This is a good place to get lovely fresh herbs. Take your own bags a...  more »

  • Fantastic Market. Plenty of range from fresh fruit and veg to bakery stalls, butchers & fresh fish straight off the boat filleted or cut as you like right infront of you. Dogs welcome but I would suggest going as early as possible as it gets very busy. They have a great range of vendors so don't have breakfast before you come down! Coffee trucks, juice trucks, crepe trucks and all sorts of others. A lovely vibrant start to a Sunday morning.
  • A large selection of cheep fruit and vegetables. It gets crowded quickly though. Wellington's usual food trucks turn up to compliment the fresh produce, so you can have pancakes and coffee if you're not so keen on the veggies.
  • Stall for Wellington Manuka Honey & Bee Fresh Farms - excellent place on Sundays for me to get locally sourced honey to help counteract my hayfever. Great service and competitive prices. Always good to say hi to stall holder, Bill (?).
  • Great fresh produce at bargain prices, and a good selection of food stands to eat at. The Thai stand is especially good value
  • Best value produce in central Wellington. If you're prepared to pick through the bruised and battered, undersized and overripe, you can eat very healthily on the cheap. As well as fruit and veg, there are many other regular stalls, including herbs, flowers, fish, meat, cakes and bread. My personal favourite is the fresh tofu, soy milk and noodles from one particular stall. There are also food trucks and buskers, so you can get a meal and entertainment as well as doing your shopping. Be aware - most stalls are cash only.
