Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web
Go local at Frank Kitts Park, where you can listen to talented buskers, let the kids play, and relax along with other Wellingtonians. The park, named after the city's longest-serving mayor Frank Kitt, represents one of the first areas of the waterfront to be developed back in the late 1980s. Its design was heavily influenced by the Wellington 500 street car race held in the area at the time. The many eateries and cafes close by make it a perfect spot for a snack or meal, while a short walk beside the waterfront will lead you to an art gallery and food market. • always great on a nice sunny day in wellington. lots of space for groups to spend their time and enjoy the weather
  • Nice little park to an afternoon walk along the ' Waterfront ', or to otherwise to work out for an hour (do here a lot of people, so you don't have to be ashamed). Ideal also because there are also a number of benches and stairs are where you can do some exercises on.

  • Friendly place with Great views and a fantastic playground for children. Fantastic place for Pokemon Go
  • A must visit place, especially in the evenings to view the backdrop of Wellington shimmering against the calm waters of the waterfront. Breathtaking!
  • Frank Kitts park is rad, heaps of space for families to play and boot campers to train. Also one of the hottest spots for Pok√©mon Go players in Wellington
  • Great place to take the kids nd enjoy sunshine on a sunny Wellington day
  • Some large events are often held here, whether it's a famous singer or simply a food / night lights event, there's always something cool to see at Frank Kitts Park. The big playground for kids is impressive, but unfortunately some teenagers may be found smoking / causing a ruckus in the area, so if you're bringing your kids along to play at the playground, keep an eye out for the "big kids".
